MOONBEAM IV
PURE BEAUTY AND ELEGANCE

The pure beauty and elegance of historic yachts such as the four Moonbeams are an inspiration for the Gaastra design team.

Faster yachts have since been developed, made of modern lightweight materials, but it remains to be seen whether they will have the same timeless value as these universal design classics. Take the Moonbeam IV, the fourth and last, and also the largest Moonbeam gaff-rigged cutter to be built, declared by Many to be the most beautiful yacht ever to ply the waves. The 35-metre Moonbeam IV – designed and built in Scotland by William Fife Junior – was launched in 1914 and went on to become the legendary winner of the Copa del Rey (or King’s Cup), from the Real Club Nautico de Palma, in 1920 and 1923.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL YACHT EVER

The Moonbeam IV has changed hands Many times over the last hundred years. Particularly during the period that she belonged to Prince Rainier of Monaco, between 1950 and 1960, the Moonbeam IV was a stunning sight in the waters of the Mediterranean. And of course she was crewed by the most glamorous of VIPs. Following the prince’s fairytale marriage to Grace Kelly the yacht provided the perfect honeymoon getaway.

POLO MOONBEAM

A polo shirt in honour of this special yacht can only convince with premium quality. In addition to qualitative cotton pique, it is mainly the detailed embroideries on the chest and on the back that make this polo shirt so special.
